Welcome! This series is based on my book (what else), The Solution to Permanent Weight Loss. I am very excited to resurrect each of the chapters, one at a time, and to explore in depth how the subject of each one contributed to my weight loss journey - and, to keeping the pounds off.
I am hopeful that you may find some answers or you may even want to implement this method for your own!

The Solution to Permanent Weight Loss is as unique as each individual. Each person has to decide what works best for himself.
For me, the solution, what finally worked - after YEARS of yo-yo dieting, anorexia, bulimia, commercial diet programs, and you-name-it, I found a combination of factors (secrets) that worked. I implemented those secrets and still follow them today. What worked for me then, still works for me now - many years later.
After years of trying everything under the sun, my weight finally stabilized and has remained so for many years! I am comfortable with my weight. I never diet and I eat whatever I want.
You may have noticed that I didn't say I eat as MUCH as I want! Nor, did I say...I eat WHENEVER I want!
What does it take? No matter how you choose to lose your excess pounds, the following ingredients are crucial:
First, you will need discipline.
It takes discipline to keep from overeating when you're hungry. It takes discipline to get the exercise you know you need.
It takes a commitment.
You must be committed to losing the weight; and then committed to keeping the weight off. Nothing feels as good as being at your ideal weight. Make a commitment that, once the weight is gone, you will NEVER allow it to creep back on!
It takes diligence.
Diligence will ensure that you establish good habits - positive habits that will be your constant companion and your greatest helper, that will push you onward to lose all the weight you want and ensures that the weight never returns.
No matter what method, program, or principles you use to lose weight...you will need discipline, a commitment, and diligence.

I'm not promising that you'll consider my method as YOUR Solution to Permanent Weight Loss. But, you may find some parts of my plan helpful and want to implement them and make them your own.
Take a look at what has worked for me. I think you'll find that it's very do-able, easy, and inexpensive. There are no special foods to buy, no official weigh-ins, and no one else to account to - just yourself!
